Support the NSS
The National String Symphonia produces a rich variety of music and educational programs. But, did you know that ticket revenue covers less than one third of the NSS’s production costs? We count on continued support from throughout our community to advance our important work. Balancing our budget is always a considerable challenge, and one that can only be achieved through the generous support of people like you.
When you support the National String Symphonia, you are not only making a sound investment in our concerts, you are also supporting our broader mission to preserve, promote, and present string orchestra music. Thank you for helping make the NSS – and our community – a success!
The National String Symphonia, Inc. is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The National String Symphonia continually innovates the concert experience, breaking down the stereotype that the orchestra is stiff or stodgy. It is in that spirit that we host NSS@Bowlmor. Our first-ever dedicated fundraising event will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Bowlmor Lanes Rockville, located in Gaithersburg, MD, from 4 to 7 p.m. It will be a very fun and easygoing evening of games, complimentary pub food and drinks, arcade play, and a silent auction. The proceeds of this friendly-game bowling tournament will benefit the NSS, broadening our ability to preserve, promote, and present high-caliber string orchestra music.
If your schedule won't allow you to participate on April 23 in person, you may still have a role in NSS@Bowlmor by contributing toward the sponsorship of a player or team, or with a general donation. We look forward to seeing you @Bowlmor on April 23!

More than 75% of the NSS's budget is currently underwritten by individual donors. Contributions of any amount can make a big difference. Please consider donating to the NSS today.
Government, Foundation, and Corporate Partnerships
Corporations, foundations, and government agencies are key partners in the NSS’s success, helping to sustain the Symphonia's goal of artistic excellence and support new ways of deepening our engagement throughout the Baltimore-Washington area and across the country. Grants and sponsorships can provide general support or can be directed to a particular program based on a funder’s interests and philanthropic goals.
The National String Symphonia Guild is a group of volunteers who assist in the operations of the orchestra in numerous ways. Members of the Guild recieve a number of benefits, including discounted tickets and invitations to special events.
